The answer to the first question no, but there maybe a very rare exception. Chevy used the A833 (MY6?) from 82 to 86 and it used the Chevy bolt pattern. I have one that I intend to put in my 63 C20 when the rebuilt 292 goes in. I had a link with some good info, but it's on my retired computer. There have several post on it, so if you do a search you should be able to find it. I've read first gear is suppose to be fairly tall so behind a 235 might depend on the rear axle ratio. Since you have all the parts to with it, it definitely worth pursuing. The shifter alone is a treasure, on yabe it will get a bill and a half. There is another on the board who is very knowledgeable.
