Twisted...Can't go the 2.5 liter (151) route. They can't stand much of the stress of being souped up. In stock form they'll last a long time, but the cylnders are awful thin and the crankshafts aren't half as strong as the older Chevy II 4-bangers. Hope you have good luck with yours, but I wouldn't build too much power into it, if you want it to live.

Evil....I know they are more rare in some parts of the country, but can't believe you haven't seen one in 35 years! I've rebuilt two in stock form and souped up two. Mercruiser used the same engine in a marine form. I had a 153 in a Chevette and had this one in a Model A before I discovered the water jacket was cracked. Don't trust having it fixed.
