I don't know much about them, but they (custom heads) are really for the racing gang. What everyone wants there is, another .5 second +++ etc.
A mildly reworked 292 head will work just fine for a passenger car. Don't forget that engine was designed by GM for hauling heavy loads in big trucks. A 302" with an EFI & 10 to 1 will 'smoke' most V-8s, so; "don't worry be happy".
