GM Dad, thanks again for the reply. I'm all set with the trans. except for the tv cable set-up. I was able flip the e-brake crossmember and gusset it off the top frame rail. The e-brake is also set up using 99% original parts. I would really like to keep the truck as original looking as reasonably possible, but I need fuel mileage too for regular trips to Calgary (75 mi.one way)I didnt realise how simple it is to swap steering columns. I swapped my original shaft into a 76 van auto assembly and used my original wheel.Looks original enough to me.Anyhow,sorry for rambling,getting excited over whats finally starting to happen in the shop.
