Thanks of all the feedback. The goal of my project is to assemble an engine that will operate for 2500-3000 hours before requiring a rebuild. So if I can obtain a modest gain over stock HP and torque and improve my power/weight ratio that will be acceptable.

One thing is certain, an aluminum cylinder head is not on the shopping list. Too many problems with corrosion in a saltwater environment even when running with a closed cooling sytem.

I guess I'm back to the drawing board which means keeping the stock chevy cylinder head, using the available marine manifold and fitting a TBI based EFI.
