Thanks for the info. Yes,it is a flathead and
believe it or not the truck has 17,000 miles on
it and been kept in a building since new. It was
bought from a local dealership and used as a
tank truck for fuel for 1 year and then sold to
the city I live in and used to wash streets. They
quit using it for that about 25 years ago and since have used twice a year to water down the
race track at the fair grounds.
Is the 254 based on the 226? The man that owns
it thought the dist. was in a different location
than the 226.
I'll see him tomorrow and ask him to get some
numbers.
