The 265 is long, but it can be squeezed into a US engine bay.. I have supplied some bits to a guy putting one into a '68 Dart. Gonna be tight,but think he will get it in.
The Aussie bodied cars built when the hemi was released, actually were about 3.5" longer in the front section then the US conterpart.. to give ample engine clearance.
