Everybody knocks the fluid drive, but I think it's probably the coolest resto rod trans that you could use. I can already drive a five speed. I wanna cruise the country in my fun speed!
Oh, I forgot I don't suppose anybody would know of a way to help the FA pick up some speed. I did the calculations and 50 mph top speed just won't do.
I'll have to see if my father can fab up some 24 inch rims and I'll run over the road truck tires. that should put the me at about 40 inches tall that'll raise to top speed to 67.
What I need is an over drive for the truck trans or an overdrive truck trans. I wonder if a fluid drive out of a D model would be tough enough. Or if I have too any ideas on a rear swap for big trucks?
