My project has some parallels...but I've not yet started. 1937/1938 Pontiac 4dr. "survivor", titled as a 1937 but think it is a 1938 (column shift). Hope to retrofit 1967 ZE Code Pontiac Sprint OHC inline 6, 200 R4 AT transmission. Anxious to get your insights into what seems a comparable transplant. Next task is to see if my engine is a runner. It was supposedly pulled running from a 1967 Firebird 10+ years ago. I have not yet identified a flex plate to couple eng/trans, or engine/trans mounts? Unsure if my combo will require major X-member mods? My car has open double- driveshaft! Any input welcome.
