Side by side; intercooler on the left. My aluminum welding skills are marginal to nonexistant, but because both the water and the air cores are available, when the time comes I may attempt to fabricate myself. An all-in-one radiator/intercooler would make a neat package, and would eliminate a bunch of elbows and fittings to put the intercooler in its usual place in front of the rad.
