The 153cid is basically a little brother of the 230cid Chevy inline 6, same bore and stroke minus 2 cylinders. I found a 153 from a 62 Chevy II with a power glide. Do I need to use a special flywheel from a 153 or can I use one from a 230-250 or even a V8. I am working on a 1948 CJ2A Willys jeep project and already have the adapter for a chevy bell housing to the T-18 3 spd no room for a 6, and I think that a V8 is to much for stock 60+ year old willys parts.
