Has anyone seen analyses or testing of OEM factory roller tappets (any brand) as to prolonged use with faster accel, higher spring tension etc.? As in can you get 50,000 miles with a 500 lb. spring, or 50 miles? Since the accounting dep't. over-rules engineering pretty frequently, I would guess that the factory tappets are designed and built (strength, material, hardening, tolerances) to run the warranty length with stock springs, with no safety margin beyond this.
