if you bore a 283 chevy V8 out .060", you get 292 cubes, so you could feasible use anything the factory used on their 283s. Use this line of thought when selecting a carb size for the 292 six. As a bonus, the six, with its longer stroke, should be able to handle a bigger carb at low rpms than the 283. 2GC and 4GC Rochesters, WCFB Carters, etc. should work fine. Mercruiser used some 292 sixes and they used Quadra-Jets on them.
