I bought a '63-model year 292 as a core from a guy for $100. So i'd say that was fair. It is that green. My '67 and '68 292 blocks are Chevy Engine Orange. Always were. Even if I help it out with VHT, now and then.
On that '63 block there is also a fuel pump of the rebuildable type. Since a new [disposable] type pump from NAPA is cheaper than the rebuild kit for the old type, I never bothered. But is there any improvement in the rebuildable type? Could it be HiPo-ed?
