Right now my main concern is the intake port. I am trying to see if I can get these heads to flow somewhat descent so we can still use these stock heads instead of the better flowing 96 & newer Vortec heads.
You are correct about the guide boss, it does seem a bit larger than the standard SBC heads, will work on the exhaust port later.
