I hope I'm not coming off too critical. I have 2 54's myself, one for parts, one for building. My projest(s) aren't nearly as complete as your are.

My trucks already have an open driveline, my builder is a 3600 truck and the parts truck is a 3800.

I'm going to swap out my 3 speed for a 4 speed also. Mainly because my shift linkages are messed up. I've thought about a T5, heck I've even bought one. I think I'm going to hang on to it for future use though.

I would totally make this a 5-window... but I'm trying to keep costs low on this build (as its my first one and i'm still in school)... One day I'll find one to fix up!

And no worries! Didn't think you were being critical at all! We all have our opinions on what our projects should be, which is why we have our own projects! I'm always up for hearing other people ideas!

The shift linkages are another reason I dropped that tranny and put in the SM420... if I do another project in the future (like a 5-window), I think I'll put a T5 in it for the driveability/highway use!
