I like the oil filler tube with what looks like a sight glass on the side. This was probably at a time when auto guys were moving away from exposed moving parts and total loss lubricating systems. You should put a light INSIDE the oil pan and watch that column of oil give off light. Presto! 1919 lava lamp.
