Thanks, It was an option until I determined that the original
head is NOT cracked.. Then again, if I decide to upgrade to
fuel injection in the future....Well, an alloy 4.0 cylinder
head would be a great starting point.

When I guessed that the water in the top of my valve cover
was the result of a cracked head, I was playing "beat the clock" time wise.. I had 13 hours to eat, sleep and get back
on the road... So, I erred on the side of caution and put
the truck in a temp storage place and continued my trip in
a rental... And I just barely made it to my destination on
time...

It cost me about $900 to be cautious.. But, I'd probably
do it again.. I was really happy to find the source of the
water was my garden hose.. A shrunken V/C gasket allowed
water into the valve cover while I was cleaning the engine,
just before my trip.. Another learning experience for me.
