That should work for you if you don't go crazy with your cam.I am right at 2,000 rpm at 60mph. You would be around 1.800 depending on tire size. Your '58 is open drive line so there are lots of options for you probably cheaper than Patrick's gear set. Mine is a Dana 44 limited slip from a '68 GMC.
