Another upgrade I made is a little more complicated than the others. It's an idea I came up with knowing that third gen Firebird owners create a ram air by slightly raising their driver headlight and removing a seal to allow cold air to be drawn in at speed. On the second gen V8 Camaros they have the air intake hose routed on top of the radiator mount over the battery. But my inline six had the hose go to an opening in the L6 radiator support right behind the driver-side turn signal. The hose wraps around the wiper washer reservoir, then slips between the support bar and over the EVAP canister to connect to the plastic mesh mount.

I took the turn signal assembly out and saw I can just remove the lens and leave it open to crate a ram air duct. I had some plastic run gutter fitting that connects the downspouts to the underground corrugated hose. So I trimmed it up to fit between the radiator support and the opening. I had reflective tape that I coated the inside to let it blend into the trim, and the cutout I left for the lens to poke so that when it flashed the extra reflective material would amplify it.

I added a 3" flexible plastic hose to make a more direct flow route from duct to THERMAC air cleaner. And in the air cleaner I swapped in a 10"x2" K&N air filter to improve air flow a bit.
