Yeah, I guess mine is like that. I did clean it with some kerosene and sloshed it around...I did that twice but left it off yesterday when I was at the truck.

I'm gonna use a dry filter and just use a cover. I think it's best to have a cleaner on top of the carb.

Since we're in engines, seems the late model 235 as I have was shipped with a Carter YF 3211, which has an automatic choke which uses a heat stove. I currently have a Carter 964S which was shipped with the 216, and that confirms what I've believed the previous owner to do...use all the 216 parts on the 235 block and head. Do you know anything about those carbs and what is involved in creating the heat stove from the exhaust to the carb with a copper pipe?
