ONE ADDITIONAL UPDATE:
I went racing yesterday. This past week I made some fine tuning adjustments to the rear of the chassis - 4-link and shock setting.
That was it!
I went six rounds all the way to the finals where I red lighted.
The car is on rails now. woohoo
